BELT RAT

In Belt Rat, you play as a space miner tasked with repairing a damaged space station so it can eventually escape the asteroid belt.

Tow asteroids back to the station and process them into credits to pay for repairs and upgrades. But the belt is dangerous. Pirates will attack you and the station, while traps, strange weather, and even the asteroids themselves can make your job more difficult.

If the space station is destroyed before you can fully repair it, it’s GAME OVER.

DIRECTIONS

Tow asteroids to the station intake to turn them into credits.

Press T when near the space station to open the repair and upgrade menu.

Fully repair the station to WIN THE GAME.

CONTROLS

WASD — Move Mouse — Aim 

Left Click — Fire mining laser. Break down asteroids or attack enemies. 

Right Click — Fire tow cable. Tow asteroids and other objects in the belt. 

E / Right Click — Disengage tow cable. 

T — Open repair/upgrade menu when near the space station. 

Q — Scan asteroids after purchasing the scanner upgrade. 

SPACE — Use ship thruster. 

ESC — Pause, access options, or save and quit.

Windows version recommended

The Windows version is the recommended way to play Belt Rat. The Web version is provided for convenience, but some visual/particle effects are missing or reduced in the browser build. The game itself is fully playable, but the Windows version provides the better overall experience.
